1989 CRX #801
This is the car that ignited the fire to take this nonprofit to the next level. This was our first donation, which happens to be a substantial one for us. In its previous life it was a WRL endurance car. We are picking it up with about 6 spare bins of parts in Fort Worth, Texas. The owner’s dad and uncle served in the Army, so he has a soft spot for veterans. We cant say thank you enough for allowing us to take our vision to the next level. I forsee this car making a difference to 100+ veterans in our first five years of running it. We have a lot of work cut out for us to get it going, but we have a caged rolling chassis that is massive. Thanks Kevin Bartels!!!! The car is a 1989 CRX Si and comes with the SI engine and Transmission. As far as what else is done to it, we will just have to wait until we get it over to our shop to get it sorted out and planned for its debut on track.
*update 6/15/22
We haven’t been able to dedicate much time to this car as we have moved across the country, and have gotten our program to take off with its on track offerings. We reached out to our local Safelite Autoglass and they donated a new windshield because of what our program offers to Veterans and AD members. We can’t say thank you enough! This car will be getting put together shortly once we get a build list made and secure funding for it.
