The start of RFT’s mission, and the start of our next journey

I, Robbie Tyler Posselli have decided to create Racing For Tomorrow as I have recently separated from Active Duty Air Force service after 15.5 years, which accumulated in three tours to Iraq, 6 different bases that accumulated in 10 total moves. After all of the TDY’s, PCS’s, and moves I realized there was a need for this mission as cars always made great friends and brought new relationships together all over the world for myself. While serving I noticed that people suffered from Mental Health issues from the stress of serving in a war zone, mission needs, etc. This is my way to give back as I have struggled myself. I have used autocross, Nasa track days, and now Lucky Dog Racing League as a reset button for my brain. I found when I was able to get away from the mission to partake in these events it was amazing for my mental health. For me, it’s the relationships that I have been able to make at these events, the students that I have instructed, and the pure adrenaline of auto racing. With these experiences and being able to look forward to these moments I know we can make an impact on fellow Veterans and active duty members. We will be able to create a solid network base across the world that is tied into our Motorsports Therapy.

Our mission goal for 2022 is to:

1. Finish our K20 CRX build and get it on track with Lucky Dog Racing League which will allow us to get Veterans in the driver’s seat.

2. Sponsor Veterans for local autocross days.

3. Start and finish our caged CRX build that was donated in Texas; we will have meetups to get local Veterans and active-duty members involved in building this car. We want to offer this as an arrive and drive at local track days for Veterans and active-duty members who wouldn’t otherwise have the means to get out on the track or can’t afford to break their daily drivers.

4. Start the build of our other donated CRX chassis for an STS classed autocross build. The ultimate goal is that we will provide a car that is free to drive so Vets do not have to worry about breaking their daily drivers. Were aiming for this to be a competitive STS build.

I just recently completed the long haul of moving these CRX’s from Texas to Utah. I made the impossible happen and stuffed all three CRX’s into our 34’ trailer. I had to take off all the bumpers, cut off the rear tow hooks, and massage some of the trunk walls to make it able for me to get the door 4” from closing. I used tow-straps to hold the door closed from the inside. Fixing HMMWV’s in Iraq taught me how to be resourceful and get the job done to complete whatever mission was at hand. This mission was to get the cars home and kick off Racing For Tomorrow’s!

We also did our first run of T-Shirts. We placed an order for 40 t-shirts and sold 53 in 48 hours. We are going to place an order for 100. We are hoping this batch will sell just as fast. If you would like one, check out our online store.

We are finishing up our 501C3 filings with a company that specializes in this area. We are hoping in the next one to three weeks to have this submitted to the IRS. We can then retroactively backdate your contributions for your end-of-the-year tax write-offs.

Please follow along as our journey is just starting, and we look forward to making a difference in this world.
